한-NATO 관계가 더욱 공고해지길 기대합니다

지난해 7월 이후 7개월 만에 마크 루터 NATO 사무총장과 다시 전화 통화를 나눌 수 있어 기쁘게 생각합니다.

우리는 대한민국과 NATO가 글로벌 안보 도전에 보다 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 긴밀히 협력해야 한다는 데 공감하고, 앞으로도 지속적인 소통을 이어가기로 했습니다.

아울러 루터 사무총장은 한국의 우수한 방위산업 역량을 높이 평가하며, 한-NATO 간 방산 협력 강화를 지속적으로 지지하겠다고 전했습니다.

향후 방산을 비롯해 우주, 정보 공유 등 다양한 분야에서 실질적인 협력을 확대해 가기로 뜻을 모은 만큼, 한-NATO 관계가 더욱 공고해지길 기대합니다.

​It was a pleasure to speak with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte again, following our previous conversation seven months ago.

We shared the view that the Republic of Korea and NATO should cooperate closely to respond more effectively to global security challenges and agreed to maintain continuous communication going forward.

Secretary General Rutte spoke highly of Korea's excellent defense industry capabilities and expressed his continued support for strengthening defense cooperation between Korea and NATO.

I look forward to our partnership deepening in line with our commitment to expand substantive cooperation across various fields, including the defense industry, space, and information sharing.
